MyVision TV

Dear students,

My name is Sarah Hickey and I manage the Music & Content for a project called MyVision TV, which has just launched in early April 2009. We are looking for film enthusiasts to contribute to the project, which I will explain briefly below:

MyVision Productions are a film/TV company based on the Gold Coast which specialise in Music Clips and promos. The sister company, MyVision TV, utilises this company’s film skills and resources to film short, documentary-styled episodes on bands/artists when on Australian soil; established and emerging. Over the summer, MyVision TV went along to Good Vibrations and The Laneway Festival, and interviewed artists such as Girl Talk, Cut Off Your Hands, The Drones, The John Steel Singers, Yves Klein Blue, Decoder Ring, Katalyst, Urthboy, Calvin Harris, The Rapture, Tegan & Sara, Wale, The Pharcyde, Q-Tip, TZU, An Horse, I Heart Hiroshima and Holly Throsby and many more coming soon. These documentaries will all be posted on our online music channel, www.myvisiontv.com.au.

On this site, there is a lot of written content to support the video content. This is where we are looking for strong writers and avid music listeners to contribute. Don’t be disillusioned, all contributors have the chance to get along to gigs or to interview bands, if they demonstrate an enthusiasm for the project. Areas that need contribution include:

è Feature Articles
è Gig Reviews (free gigs)
è CD Reviews (Pre-release albums often supplied)
è Artist Profiles (emerging or established)

Attached is a contributors guide with all the information you need to know, if you wish to get in contact with us at MyVision TV. If, after reading all of the available information, the project sounds like something you are interested in, email me at sarah.hickey@myvisiontv.com.au.

Thanks,

Sarah Hickey

  3. This is a VERY tardy reply I know, but after searching high and low I can't seem to find an electronic copy of the contributor's guide anywhere in JACS' files. I am sure VisionTV are still in need of a helping hand. Perhaps contact them?
